Dr. Chen has a track record of success in pioneering innovative biotechnology to address the pressing issues that impact our health and environment. Prior to joining Finless Foods, Brandon has led the discovery of anti-cancer drugs synthesized with cell-free technology, the development of novel therapeutic biologics using mammalian cells and the production of renewable chemicals using engineered microbes in a fermentation process.

Dr. Chen completed his post-doctoral training in cell biology and bioinformatics at The Scripps Research Institute. He earned his Ph.D. in microbiology and molecular genetics and an M.B.A. in healthcare from the University of California, Irvine. Brandon also was a trained clinical laboratory scientist with a B.S. in human physiology, medical technology and medical microbiology.
