€400,000 Awarded for Cultivated Meat Innovation Prize

The winners Good Food Institute Europe and EIT Food’s Cultivated Meat Innovation Challenge have been announced. This challenge launched in June to encourage scientists, entrepreneurs, NGOs, and other organizations to find innovative ways to lower the cost of cultivated meat. The following companies have been named winners, receiving €100,000 each: BioBetter, S2AQUAcoLAB, LenioBio, and 3D Bio-Tissues Ltd.

“These teams now have a huge opportunity to drive prices down, and their work could have a major impact on how quickly we can scale up production as part of a more sustainable food system.” - Seren Kell, science and technology manager at the Good Food Institute Europe.
