Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont met with several Israeli companies including Future Meat and Aleph Farms to decide where to allocate up to $100M to facilitate industry expansions to the state. During this venture trip, the Governor tasted cultivated chicken shawarma at Future Meat’s plant stating, “I thought it was tasty.” The University of Connecticut currently has a partnership with the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology which developed the world’s first cultivated ribeye steak with Aleph Farms. More exchange students and faculty research trips between the universities were also discussed.
