Cultivate at Scale: An Open-Access Facility Just Launched in The Netherlands

The cellular agriculture industry has reached a pivotal moment with the launch of Cultivate at Scale, a groundbreaking, independent, open-access facility. This center, developed with expertise from Mosa Meat and funded by the Dutch government’s National Growth Fund, is dedicated to scaling cell culture bioprocesses. By providing the critical infrastructure needed to transition from research to production, the facility lowers barriers for companies striving to improve food systems.

While Cultivate at Scale operates independently, it remains firmly aligned with Mosa Meat’s mission to revolutionize the future of food. The facility is poised to accelerate progress in cellular agriculture, empowering innovators to bring sustainable, resilient, and ethical food solutions to the market more efficiently.

The Netherlands further cements its reputation as a global leader in food innovation, complementing Cultivate at Scale with another significant development: a precision fermentation scale-up center in Ede, spearheaded by NIZO. These initiatives reinforce the country’s commitment to driving sustainable food systems and fostering an ecosystem for groundbreaking technologies.

This milestone reflects a unified effort involving Mosa Meat, the Cellular Agriculture Netherlands Foundation, and the Dutch government, with their collaboration showing the importance of public and private partnerships in building a better future for food.
