Thailand's First Regulatory Application for Cultivated Meat

Aleph Farms has taken a groundbreaking step by submitting Thailand's first regulatory application for cultivated meat, setting its sights on a 2026 market debut. This submission represents an important milestone in the global push toward sustainable food production and aligns with Thailand's growing interest in innovative culinary solutions. Aleph Farms plans to launch its Petit Steak under the Aleph Cuts brand, blending sustainability with a nod to local culinary traditions.

To ensure the product resonates with Thai consumers, Aleph Farms is collaborating with local chefs and Thai Union, a leading seafood producer in the region. These partnerships will help adapt Petit Steak to meet regional tastes while capitalizing on the environmental benefits of cultivated meat. Aleph Farms’ focus on engaging with local stakeholders highlights its commitment to building a product that aligns with Thailand’s unique cultural and gastronomic identity.

"Our latest submission for a regulatory approval in Thailand marks a significant milestone in Aleph Farms’ operational roadmap for Southeast Asia,” says Didier Toubia, CEO of Aleph Farms.

The move also underlines Thailand's strategic position as a leader in the novel food space, paving the way for cultivated meat to become a key player in the country’s food system.
