For the first time, cultivated chicken was available for purchase at a food stall in an open-air hawker center in Singapore. The meal consisted of Good Meat’s cultivated chicken, curry-covered rice, two vegetable sides, and an iced tea for only $4. Consumers commented the food innovation tasted like conventional chicken and expressed interest in the product’s future.
The meal was available from February 26 to March 1 and subsidized by Eat Just’s Good Meat. The product is expected to be available again in April and throughout the year at Loo’s Hainanese Curry Rice stall. 1880, a restaurant in Singapore, was first place to sell Good Meat.
